Abstracts

Abstracts are accepted exclusively through this website, through your personal myISCAM2026 area; you will need to to have an account to have access to the latter.

Only one abstract per participant is allowed. The abstract should be submitted by the presenting author only.

The abstract submission deadline is 30 June 2026. The organisers will then review the received abstracts for oral and poster presentations.

Abstracts guidelines:

  • Title. The title must start in uppercase and continue in lowercase, except for conventional terms (ATP, DNA, NFκB, etc). Example:
        This title is written correctly
This Title is Not Properly Written
         ALSO THIS TITLE IS WRONG
  • Authorship. If more than one author (but only in that case), underline your name (the presenting author, in whatever position you appear in the author list) and use commas to separate the author names; do not use 'and' before the last author. Write your name and surname in full; for any other authors use initial(s) for the first name(s) followed by the surname. If more than one affiliation (but only in that case), use sequential superscript numbers to identify each institution. Example:
       Mario Rossi1, J. Doe2, F. Bloggs1,2
1Dept Biomembranes, Golgi & Veratti Univ., Pavia, Italy
2Dept Bioblast Analyses, Altmann Univ., Leipzig, Germany
  • Abstract text. Keep the abstract text to within 1500 characters, spaces included (which is roughly equivalent to 200 words). Do not include references or figures.
Travel grants

We are awarding 3 Travel Grants to assist young trainees who need financial assistance to attend the 13th ISCaM Annual Meeting and present their work as an oral or poster presentation. Each ISCaM Travel Grant waives the meeting registration fee.

Eligibility

  • Student and Early Career ISCaM members with max. 3-year postdoctoral experience. (Exceptions may be made in the case of members who have had a professional break, such as illness or parental leave.)
  • Travel Grants are targeted at members who, without additional funding, would not be able to attend the meeting. Please consider your financial need before applying and demonstrate it in your application.
  • Applicants must have submitted an abstract for the meeting through this website.
  • The ISCaM aims to be inclusive: we may be able to offer reduced membership fees for researchers from low/lower middle-income economies (as defined by the World Bank) or who have extenuating circumstances. Click here and scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the current list on the World Bank website.

How to apply

You have to sign up for this meeting, explicitly indicating that you wish to apply for a travel grant. Subsequently, through your personal myISCAM2026 area, you should submit an abstract for the meeting along with a motivation letter (1 page max.).

Deadline is 30 June 2026.

Results will be notified by 30 July 2026.

  Warning

Unfortunately, there is an increasing number of fraudulent websites and email promotions claiming to offer registration and accommodation services. Please be advised that payment for your ISCaM 2026 attendance can only be processed according to the instructions available in your personal myISCAM2026, after you sign up for an account. Also, the ISCaM 2026 Organisers are in no way responsible for arrangements that you make. Please be aware of possible scams.
